Certo testnet is live! You can now deposit test USDT acquired from a faucet into the Certo protocol and contribute to the protocol testing while watching your test stUSD balance grow.
In this blog post we walk you through this exciting process.
To deposit test USDT and get test stUSD in Certo testnet, you need to have a Metamask account and follow 3 easy steps.
Step 1. Obtain Sepolia ETH.
It is used to pay for transactions. You can use any faucet you find online by searching for “Sepolia ETH faucet”. A detailed faucet guide can be found on the CoinGecko website. We are not responsible for faucets.
Step 2. Obtain test USDT.
To complete this step, you need to have Sepolia ETH in your account balance. Go to Aave Faucet. First, you need to Connect your wallet.
Next, click on the “Faucet” button next to USDT.
Click on “Faucet USDT” and wait for the transaction to complete successfully. You have obtained testUSDT to use in testnet.
Step 3. Deposit test USDT and get test stUSD.
Go to Certo DApp. Click “Connect wallet” and connect Metamask account.
The app runs in testnet mode on the Sepolia network. If you are connected to Ethereum Mainnet or another network, you will see the “Unsupported Network” message. To switch to Sepolia, click “Switch to Sepolia” button and confirm the switch in Metamask.
To see the test USDT and test stUSD tokens on your Metamask account balance, click on the “+” next to each token and confirm adding the token to Metamask.
Enter the desired test USDT value. Deposit will require sending two transactions, first Approve test USDT and then Deposit. Click on the “Unlock tokens and deposit” button and confirm the two transactions in your Metamask.
You have successfully deposited test USDT and received test stUSD to your account. If you don’t see test USDT or test stUSD in your Metamask, check if you added them to Metamask in step 2.
Hover over your test stUSD balance to see it grow.
